My work draws inspiration from the landscapes of Death Valley and California, where I lived for many years. I am interested in light, in the resonance of color, and in the way a landscape can become a collage — colors turning into shapes, forms into sounds. Illusions, mirages, the vastness of the sun, rising and setting at once. Colors unfolding like a symphony. Flowers becoming castles. Day slowly disappearing into night. Coyotes, cowboys, desert roads, cacti and hummingbirds — fragments of a landscape suspended somewhere between memory, imagination and reality.
